Why Doggy Playtime is So Important
Your pup requires a lot of care and love and one of the easiest and most fun ways of caring for your pet is by providing ample amounts of playtime. This playtime greatly helps your dog’s mental and physical health. Here are some ways that playtime may enhance your dog’s life
How Doggy Playtime Affects Attachment
One of the many benefits of doggy playtime is that it allows you and your dog to bond together. Some dogs show their excitement for this activity by bringing their owners their favorite toy or ball to signal they want to play and spend time together. For those who have multiple dogs this is also an excellent time for the dogs to learn how to bond with each other as well as you.
How Doggy Playtime Affects Exercise
Dogs need to receive lots of exercise to maintain a healthy lifestyle. One of the great benefits of playtime is that it is exercise in disguise. Your dog may be so excited to run and chase after a ball or frisbee that they don’t even realize they are getting more exercise than the average walk.
How Doggy Playtime Affects Training
Doggy Playtime is a great way to reinforce and improve the current skills your dog possesses. “Fetch”, “Sit”, “Drop”, and “Come Here” are all commands that can easily be used during your playtime activities and therefore you can use treats as a reward for obeying these commands during your time outside.
How Doggy Playtime Affects Mental Stimulation
Doggy Playtime gives your dog an opportunity to break away from the boredom of the day. By supplying a much-needed break so your dog can remain happy and interested instead of letting the boredom get the better of them which may lead to them getting into to trouble. By changing up the activities and even who they are playing with will give your dog some mental stimulation.
How Doggy Playtime Affects Behavior
When your dog is home alone all day without a break, they can get bored. Boredom often leads to destructive behavior like ripping up clothes, chewing on shoes, and ruining furniture. By giving your dog an opportunity to release some of that pent-up energy in a productive manner you are ensuring your home stays safe as well as providing some excellent playtime with you or a hired pet professional.
